HR Transformation Project
The HR Transformation Project, conducted in collaboration with a leading HR consulting firm Mercer (Singapore), was a key strategic initiative for CB Bank. The project aimed to modernize and enhance the existing traditional HR management structure to meet the demands of Myanmar's growing digital banking sector and improve the overall efficiency and services of the HR department.
Project Overview
The project was executed in three phases to ensure a thorough and systematic transformation. In Phase 1, an assessment of CB Bank's current HR operation model was conducted to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Phase 2 focused on developing a customized HR model tailored to the bank’s specific needs, drawing on best practices and insights provided by Mercer. Phase 3 involved the implementation of Mercer's recommended HR model, which included new HR policies, processes, and digital tools designed to support CB Bank's evolving workforce and business goals.
My Role
As the project coordinator, I facilitated communication and coordination between stakeholders from CB Bank and Mercer. I ensured seamless collaboration throughout the project by organizing meetings, tracking project progress, and resolving any issues that arose. I aligned both teams and maintaining momentum across all three phases of the project.

Key Learning
This project provided me with valuable insights into HR transformation and change management. I learned to conduct thorough assessments and plan when implementing a new HR model. I got a chance to learn from consultants from Mercer by working alongside them.
