One-stop Cash Collection Service for Banking Clients
One-stop Cash Collection Service was developed when I was working at AGD Bank in Myanmar. This service was tailored for cash-intensive businesses that regularly handle large amounts of money. Since it was during the Covid-19 pandemic, we saw an opportunity to create a service that allowed businesses to deposit their cash without needing to visit the bank themselves. Traditionally, these businesses had to visit the bank to deposit their cash.

Project Overview
This service was developed to save businesses time and reduce the risks associated with transporting large sums of cash. Using cash-in-transit vans, the service collects cash directly from clients' premises and deposits it into the bank's mobile core-banking system "AGD Go" using tablets. This enables clients to see real-time deposit transactions on-site, eliminating the need to visit AGD Bank branches and offering a seamless service experience at their location.
As a security measure, the cash-in-transit vans were equipped with CCTV and a GPS system. The vans in operation were accompanied by one driver, one teller, and one security guard, along with a cash box, cash counting machine, AGD Go tablet, and a receipt printer.
My Role
As the Product Developer for this project at AGD Bank, I worked together with then-head of corporate banking Mr. Kamil Bakar to address the challenge of facilitating cash deposits for businesses without requiring them to visit the bank, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the guidance of Mr. Kamil Bakar, I led the end-to-end development of this service from designing the service flow, and equipment procurement to product roll-out. In my joint role as a corporate relationship manager, I was also responsible for acquiring customers for this service.

Key Learning
This project provided me with invaluable experience in developing a service from start to finish, including designing the entire process and utilizing existing internal technology like AGD Go to integrate into the service design. I also gained hands-on experience with using GPS systems equipped in cash-in-transit vehicles, which allowed us to monitor the vehicles in real time during cash collection operations. Additionally, I learned to balance both back-end operations, in collaboration with a product manager, and front-end responsibilities by pitching this service to potential clients.
