Modernizing Legacy HR System
The HR Software Implementation Project aimed to modernize HR processes at CB Bank by adopting a new HR software called MiHCM. Through this initiative, we wanted to enhance HR services for over 8,000 employees across the bank’s headquarters and branches throughout Myanmar. This project was carried out alongside the HR Transformation Project.

Project Overview
This project was implemented to replace the existing legacy HR system with new, advanced software modules. The project had a one-year timeline. An initial step involved migrating the employee database from CB Bank's local server to Microsoft Azure cloud which is used by the new software company MiHCM. Within CB Bank, the new software was branded as "HR By My Side."
The implementation began with a pilot rollout at the headquarters, covering approximately 2,000 employees. We introduced the Attendance module, allowing employees to clock in and out using the MiHCM mobile app. Following the successful pilot, the rollout was expanded to cover 200 branches nationwide. After the Attendance module was fully implemented, the remaining modules of the MiHCM system were deployed subsequently.
My Role
As the project manager, I coordinated among various stakeholders, including department heads, the HR team, and the vendor's team. I mainly worked with a project task force which included an HR manager, an HR information system unit head, an IT officer, and the vendor's technicians. Before rolling out the software, we setup a dedicated user support team to assist employees with any issues they might encounter while using the new HR software. I developed a user guide in Burmese language for the employees and gave trainings to a user support team.

Key Learning
This project gave me hands-on experience in managing a large-scale digital transformation initiative within a complex organizational structure. As I was responsible for keeping the project steering committee updated about the project's progress, I learned that effective stakeholder management and clear communication were critical to overcoming challenges and achieving project milestones on schedule. I also learned different HR system modules and how they work from MiHCM HR software.
